The West Palm Beach soul food takeout restaurant Queen of Sheeba is converting next month into an Ethiopian restaurant with tables and chairs.
Owners Bill and Lojo Washington say the grand opening will take place Sept. 3 at 716 N. Sapodilla
Ave., in the city’s Historic Northwest, not far from the landmark Sunset Lounge. The restaurant, which will seat 28 inside and 12 on its patio, will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 5:30-9:30 p.m.
The Ethiopian offerings will include vegetable dishes, some spicy and some not, as well as meat and fish dishes.
And yes, Sheeba is how they spell it, not the usual Sheba, “just to be different,” Mrs. Washington says
