After 12 years of
investigation on tourism development in Ethiopia, the book entitled ‘Ye
Etiyopiya Yeturizim Habtochina Limat’, co-authored by Mulugeta Fisseha
(PhD), Teklehaimanot G/Silassie (PhD) and Tekle Hagos (A/Professor), was
inaugurated colorfully on June 29, 2016 at Mekonnen Hall of AAU’s Main
Campus.
The book is written in Amharic language
and has a total of 102 pages. It deals with future opportunities for
tourism development in Ethiopia, organization of information center,
infrastructures and utilization of tourism resources for development.
Engineer Ayisha Mohamed, Minister of
Culture and Tourism, while expressing her appreciation noted that the
book undoubtedly contributes to tourism development in our country by
considerably helping knowledge based service in tourism.
Admasu Tsegaye (PhD), President of Addis
Ababa University, in his welcoming speech said that tourism
destinations are on the rise in our country and that basic
infrastructure and related facilities be developed to keep this pace up.
He further added that the book has tremendous significance in promoting
tourism resources in our country.
