Newly crowned Ethiopian league champions, St George Football Club have a golden chance to wrap the season with two trophies.
On Thursday, the Martin Nooij’s coached team travel to Adama city for a date against Ethiopia defense
In the semi-finals played at the start of the week, St George outwitted Adama City 5-4 on post-match penalties after normal time had ended one goal apiece.
Salhadin Seid, Mentisnote, Aschalew Tamene, Abebaw Butako and George Adane scored for St George.
Taffese Tesfaye, Briuk Kalobre, Michael George and Eshetu Mena were on target for Adama City.
Moges Tadesse missed his kick from the penalty spot for Adama City.
In the second semi-final, Defense on the other hand had easy prey of Nigid Bank with a convincing 3-0 result.
Addisu Tesfaye, Firew Solomon and Samuel Taye scored for the Gabremedhin Haile.
Regardless of Thursday’s result, Adama City has already booked a berth to represent the country at the 2017 CAF Confederation cup since St. George FC earned their ticket to the lucrative CAF Champions league by virtual of their league champions’ status.
St George is home to three Ugandans, Robert Odongkara, Isaac Isinde and Brian Umony.
