Ethiopia’s Information Network Security Agency (INSA) disclosed it has commenced an integrated cyber-security solution for banks. The system is said to protect banks from cyber-attacks.
The system was introduced by the central bank, National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE).
According to Major General Teklebirhan Woldearegay, Director General of INSA, the system would enable banks to detect threats before and after attacks.
NBE’s Vice Governor, Getahun Nana, on his part said the system was crucial to avert cyber-attacks, even if they occur rarely in Ethiopia.
