Addis Ababa, July 19, 2016 (WIC) – In a meeting they held yesterday on the sidelines of the 27th African Union Summit in Rwanda, Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn of Ethiopia and President Abdel Fatah Al-Sisi of Egypt have vowed to strengthen their all-round cooperation.
The two leaders agreed to cooperate on economy, politics, diplomacy, peace and security sectors.
They also decided to strengthen the people-to-people ties between the two countries as well as to work for Africa’s integration and agenda. The two sides also expressed their interest to execute model projects jointly with Sudan.

The two leaders also agreed on the study being conducted on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) and to accept the findings of the study.
Following Ethiopia’s election as a non permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), the two countries agreed to cooperate on global issues.
