South African business delegation team visiting Ethiopia, held business-to-business meeting with Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (AACCSA) on June 7, 2016. The meeting was focused on ways to promote business opportunities.
Michael Gamwo, leader of the delegation team and Manager of African International Trade, noted the delegates were in Ethiopia in the aim of creating partnership with Ethiopian businesspersons. “There is huge business opportunity and big market as well as economic growth in Ethiopia,” he furthered.
According to Gamwo the delegation team is mainly composed of businesspersons from agro-business, manufacturing and service sectors. The investors were mainly attracted by Ethiopia’s agro-business and tourism sectors, he explained. They were also interested in the manufacturing sector, he noted.
Speaking at the event Secretary General of AACCSA, Getachew Regassa, explained the aim of the delegation team’s visit was to hold business-to-business meeting and establish network.
Aschale Tadesse, Investment Promotion Team Leader at Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC), on his part said the meeting was aimed at promoting Ethiopia’s business opportunities and creating investment network between Ethiopian and South African investors.
