The Joint Anti-Terror force of the Ethiopian National Intelligence and Security Service and the Federal police on Thursday said it has arrested terrorists who were trained and sent to Ethiopia by the Eritrean government.In a statement, the joint force said the “terrorists� entered to Ethiopia using fake names flying from Asmara to Uganda then crossed to Ethiopia via Moyale town of Kenya.
The force said they were arrested in operation it carried out on May 6, 2016 in a bush where the militants hidden in the state of South Nations and Nationalities and Peoples of Ethiopia.
According to the joint force, the militants were “caught red-handed with their arms as some of the militants who tried to escape were killed. The force has not stated the number of seized or killed militants.
