Ethiopia, Egypt and Sudan on Monday have reached consensus to resume talks on the impacts of Ethiopia’s controversial Dam over Nile. Tewolde Mulugeta, Spokesperson for the Ethiopia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the 12th round of talks will deal with remaining tasks from the 11th meeting which ended with better understanding and intimacy among the parties.
The 11th round of tripartite talks meeting was aimed at reaching consensus regarding the international firms which will consult on the socio-economic impacts of the dam.
According to the spokesperson, the consulting firms are yet to start formal operation as they refuse to accept technical directives from respective countries’ national technical committees.
