The National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) revealed that it is preparing to launch a system for clients to use one ATM card and cheque in all banks of Ethiopia, Fana Broadcasting Corporate reported.
Governor of NBE Teklewold Atnafu said the Bank is finalizing its work to launch the scheme in the current Ethiopian budget year.
He stated that the new system allows clients to withdraw money from ATM machines using VISA card from any bank in the country.
The system would save time and money and help banks to expand their reach and benefit.
