Addis Ababa — The efforts that Ethiopia has been exerting in building public diplomacy could cement its relations with other countries, Ethiopian Public Delegates said.
Following fruitful public diplomacy achievements recorded in Egypt, religious fathers, government higher officials, Parliamentarian Members, Public Figures, Journalists and Traders head to Sudan for similar purpose.
In his exclusive interview with WIC, Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council president, Sheikh Mohammedamin said that good results have drawn from the Public Diplomacy Delegates to Egypt President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi visited Ethiopia.
The signing of the ten principles of declarations between the three countries is also credited to the efforts of Public Diplomacy, he noted.
Sheikh Mohammedamin also promised to tell about Ethiopian Muslim's contribution for peace and development for his counterparts.
Ethiopian Catholic Church Secretariat Secretary in his part said that as Sudan and Ethiopia shared a long boundary and have various communalities, diplomatic works will enhance the relation between the two sisterly countries.
It is crucial to create understanding, similar to what mutual benefit created on Tekeze Hydropower Dam among the two peoples, on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam Project, he added.
It is obvious that Ethiopia's contribution in hosting about 700 thousand migrants is an indication of the countries peaceful and cooperative works.
The two religious fathers underlined that Public Diplomacy will contribute a significant role in stepping forward Ethiopia's relation with its neighbors.
The Diplomatic Delegates, heading to Sudan, planned to make discussions with Sudanese Public Delegates, Ethiopian community in Sudan, Sudanese higher officials and will visit Sudanese historical sites in the coming six days.
