ZTE a chain of telecommunications equipment and network solutions provider has introduced 4G Terminal latest technology devices Wednesday at the Sheraton Addis.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, ZTE Eastern Africa President Jia Chen said that there is a great opportunity in Ethiopia to introduce our 4G terminal devices. As a leading global terminal vendor, ZTE shows the latest 4G smart phone, Grand S2, Blade S6 and one tablet.
The introduction of the terminals in Ethiopia is timely as the ethio telecom is innovating its 4G services. Hence it was noted that ZTE will develop 4G smart phones to satisfy the demand of Ethiopians for high speed data and voice services, with in the purchasing power of the customers. ZTE will also work constantly to improve the user experience, and let the Ethiopians enjoy the convenience of the internet economy, he added.
Information Technology and Communication State Minister Getachew Negash on his part said that the introduction of 4G terminal devices helps to accelerate Ethiopian transformation by providing devices that help people exchange information in a fast and timely fashion. The introduction of this technology has also a great contribution in building positive image of the nation. "I believe that ZTE will introduce other technologies for the betterment of the livelihood of the Ethiopian people.
After he expressed his heart felt condolences to the Ethiopian people over the massacre of thirty citizens by IS terrorist group, Chinese Ambassador to Ethiopia, La Yifan on his part said that the Chinese people stand firmly and in solidarity with the Ethiopian people. He further said that besides the area of information technology, China and Ethiopia have a strong relationship in multifaceted areas.
"4G technology is new in China. We have already started to transfer the technology to Ethiopians. As we know, information technology has improved peoples livelihood. It also contributes to the investment opportunities by decreasing the cost of transactions.
Meanwhile, the company has signed an agreement with the renowned Ethiopian Athletic Superstar Haile Gebre-Selassie to serve the company as a brand ambassador of its products as of April 22, 2015.
