Resources and Irrigation Minister Hossam Moghazi said that he has received an official invitation from his Ethiopian counterpart Hailemariam Desalegn to visit Addis Ababa and the Renaissance Dam construction site by the mid of September.
He said that the visit comes within the framework of building confidence as agreed in the joint statement of the ministers of water affairs of Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan at the 4th Tripartite Ministerial Meeting, which was held in Khartoum last week, comprising representatives from the three countries.
He said that the Ethiopian embassy in Cairo sent the invitation which carries a message of friendship and welcome. He noted that the visit was scheduled for last week but has been postponed to mid September.
