Kismayo, Somalia ( DIPLOMAT.SO) – Ethiopian Foreign Minister Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has arrived today in the port city of Kismayo, capital of the province of Lower Juba, southern Somalia,accompanied by diplomats and foreign representatives to attend the National Consultative Forum on 2016 electoral process in Somalia.
National Consultative Forum, will start officially on Monday ( January 11) .
An informed source said in an interview for Diplomat News Network “This morning, Ethiopian Foreign Minister Tedros Adhanom arrived in Kismayo on an official visit.”
The source, who asked anonymity, added: “Tedros will meet with a number of Somali officials headed by Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke, They will discuss the latest security and political developments in the country as well as the bilateral relations”.
Ethiopia, which is still heading the East African regional bloc IGAD, trying now to mediate between the conflicting leaders for power ,where there is not a fair system on power-sharing between Somali clans in the provinces of Lower Juba, Middle Juba,Gedo,Bakool,Baay and Lower Shabelle .
According to the Ogaden clan,which belongs to the former warlord Ahmed Mohamed Islam (Madobe) who is now leading the Jubaland State say they were not given any representation in South West State , while Hawadle clan elders confirmed that did not give any representation in Executive Council and Parliament of Jubaland and South west , which could threaten a crack at the federal and infighting among Somalis in the South ,while Digil and Mirifle clan, which belongs to the leader of the South West State Sharif Hassan Sheikh Aden revealed dissatisfaction with what it called small positions and meager representation in Jubaland.
Some tribes have announced new administrations against these provincial systems.
Among the opposition administrations, Upper Bakool administration and Juba Ganaane administration .
Sources say that other tribes seeking declaration of a new administrations to these troubled regions .
