The sketched image of the worker with the accompanying note was uploaded to the website Reddit.
It was translated by a user who claimed the worker said they were 'hungry, sad', afraid' and pleaded for help.
It also alleged that the worker's family were killed by soldiers.
It was posted to Reddit by user Samson_Says who was purchasing a pair of Naturalizer shoes.
