BILLINGS - A Billings man from wants to help kids in Ethiopia and is raising money to send back to his home country.
Eayoall Atsbeha, the co-founder of the Gara Project, is behind the Gara Mountain Run - which includes a three mile run and one mile walk, to help raise money for orphanages.
Some kids have run away or their parents died and now they live on the streets. Atsbeha is working with the Gara Muleta Church, where his mother is a member.
"When I went back in Ethiopia 10 years ago, I saw my mom helping some a couple of kids out there, Atsbeha said. "After I came back,I decided to go with this fund raising, that was with some of my friends."
The project has been running for two to three years, and Atsbeha expects some of the orphanages to be built soon.
