Pretoria, Oct 24 (Prensa Latina) The entrepreneurial group of Biopharmaceutical and Chemical Productions of Cuba (Labiofam) strengthened its partnerships with Ethiopia on vector control, agriculture and other sectors, LABIOFAM sources today announced here.
LABIOFAM experts, led by its representative for Africa, Felix Quintanar Pulido, conducted a working visit to Ethiopia, accompanied by the Cuban Ambassador in Addis Ababa, Juan Manuel Rodríguez Vázquez.
The delegation met with various Ethiopian personalities, including General Kinfe Dangwe, disease control specialis Abdissa Kurkie Kabeto, and Bewket Sirau, director of animal health at the Ministry of Agriculture.
During the visit, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of production of viral and bacterial vaccines for the livestock sector.
The Cuban company works on drugs production, exports of biolarvicides, biological rodenticide, veterinary drugs, viral and bacterial vaccines and dietary supplements, and other related products.
