Ethiopian’s Airbus First Flight to Be to Lagos

Ethiopian Airlines, the leading airline in the continent has now renewed its leadership status in the African aviation industry by operating the first African Airbus A350 XWB. What is more, Ethiopian has many more state-of-the-art aircraft in its operation and in order.
A pan-African airline, Ethiopian, is committed to introduce the continent with the latest and most advanced aviation technologies and systems of the century. Ethiopian Airbus being to roar on the African skies and beyond, the question is which city is to host this state-of-the-art aircraft first in African soil.
Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines Mr. Tewolde GebreMariam, in this regard said, “for us, it is always; ‘Africa First’; and that is why we have decided to start our first Airbus A-350 operation to/from the giant of Africa, Nigeria and specifically Lagos on July 2, 2016.
The introduction of latest technology air machines like the Airbus A-350 and the B-787 Dreamliner strongly show that Ethiopia in particular and Africa in general are rising in the 21st Century with fastest growing socio-economic developments.”
Ethiopian is now the leading airline in Africa, Ethiopian is the largest cargo operator in the continent, Ethiopian Aviation Academy (EAA) is the largest and the most advanced aviation academy with an annual intake capacity of 4000 trainees, and Ethiopian operates the oldest and the largest MRO Services with many more firsts in the pipe line.
As Ethiopian will continue receiving the second Airbus soon after and the rest accordingly, there will be more Airbuses in its long haul routes to create seamless connectivity while assuring the extra comfort for our esteemed customers.
