Ethiopian born billionaire to be released from detention in Saudi Arabia

Al Amoudi
Al Amoudi, Ethiopian born Saudi billionaire, to be released from detention in Saudi Arabia, reported Tadias Addis, local FM radio in Ethiopia which is believed to have close links with the Saudi Billionaire.
Tadias Addis reported about it in a breaking news coverage on facebook status update. There are speculations that Al Amouri probably called spokespersons and Ethiopian authorities to update them on his conditions.
However, there seems to be no news coverage about it from Saudi Arabia news sources.
Al Amoudi was detained at Ritz Carton Hotel in Riyadh along with Saudi princes, former high ranking government officers and business people since November 5 on alleged charges of corruption from which the Saudi government hopes to recover about 300 billion dollars.
Saudi and international media, like AP, reported last week that bank accounts of the detainees were frozen with orders from Saudi government officials.
Ethiopian government disclosed, this weekend when prime minister Hailemariam Desalegne held press conference with local journalists, that it is pursuing diplomatic avenues to lobby the Saudi government in order to secure the release of Al Amoudi.
