Zamra to Construct Stadium with 500 Million Birr

Zamra Construction agreed with Addis Ababa Youth Sport Bureau to construct a zonal stadium in Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa, at an outlay of 500 million Birr. The stadium is going to be constructed at Ayat locality, in Bole Sub City.
The agreement was signed by Zamra’s Deputy CEO, Awot kidane, and Nigatu Dagnachew, the Bureau’s Head.
The construction, which will be carried out by the local grade 1 contractor, is scheduled to be finalized in 2 years and 3 months. Upon completion the stadium will host 25,000 – 30,000 spectators.
The project is among the 5 zonal stadiums planned to be constructed in the capital city. The other 4 stadiums will be constructed in Yeka, Nifas Silk Lafto, Gullele and Akaki kality sub cities.
The 5 stadiums are in addition to the existing 2 stadiums in the Addis Ababa, Abebe Bikila stadium and Yidnekachew Tesema stadium.
