The World Bank has granted 6 million USD to one of public universities in Ethiopia, Haromaya University. The grant is to assist the higher learning institution’s effort to become one of the leading research center of excellence in the African Continent.
Commenting on the development Academic Vice President of Haromaya University, Niguse Dechassa (Professor), said the grant was crucial to strengthen the institution’s agricultural center.
In addition to this the grant would enable the University to start graduate and post graduate programs, Nigues added.
