Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Israeli Export Institute sign key cooperation agreement

Earlier this morning (June 7) at the opening session of the business forum Ethiopian Chamber of commerce and Israeli Export Institute had signed a key document which is believed to enhance the Government to Business transation to a higher level. State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Regassa Kefale in his opening remark at the morning session noted the economic and business engagement between the two countries has been growing ever since Ethiopia put right policies in place. He noted the Business to Business and Government to Business networking between Israeli and Ethiopian countries would further augment the knowledge on the potential investment opportunities in Ethiopia.
In the afternoon session different presentations took place. Mr. Fistum Arega from Ethiopian Investment Commission gave "An Overview of Ethiopian Economy and Investment Opportunities". Mr. Fitsum pinpointed that competitive wage labour, untapped natural resources, expanding infrastructure, cheap electricity and attractive investment policy were among the few advantages to invest in Ethiopia. Mr. Ofer Sachs, CEO of Israeli Export Institute State and Head of the Business Delgation, stressed on the need to shift to an economy based on revolutionary technological innovation. Ambassador Yaffa Ben- Ari, Deputy Director General for Economic Affairs of MFA of Israel, said "we are very blessed to have two flights per day to telaviv. It opens up and ecouragees the investors in Israel." More than 250 business representatives from over 130 companies attended the business summit.Read more here
