Ethiopia, China offer capacity building packages to exporters

Co-organized by China's Economic and Commercial Office, Addis Ababa and the Business Diplomacy Directorate General at the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a half day seminar on Capacity Building of Ethiopian Exporters to Peoples Republic of China was held today (June 29, 2016) at MoFA meeting hall.
State Minister for Business and Diaspora Affairs, Mr. Regasa Kefale while officially opening the seminar reiterated the strong trade relation Ethiopia and China have had and emphasized the importance of such Seminars in enhancing the bilateral trade ties.

While commending the constantly growing trade ties between Ethiopia and China, Chinese Ambassador to Ethiopia Mr. La Yifan on his part said,  "Chinese Embassy in Addis is working hard in terms of encouraging Chinese investors to invest in the Industrial Parks, facilitating cooperation between Inspection and Quarantine institutions, investing heavily on infrastructure in Ethiopia, increasing Human Resource Development trainings for Ethiopians, Visa arrangement and facilitating ease of travel to China for trade."
The seminar among others focused on exploring authentic ways of undertaking business for participants drawn from Ministry of Trade, Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations, Ethiopian Pulses, Oil Seeds and Spices Processors and Exporters' Association and private Sector representatives from China.
