Ethiopia’s telecom monopole, Ethio Telecom, disclosed it made 20.8 billion Birr of gross profit in the just concluded fiscal year. Such was disclosed during a discussion held to evaluate 2015/2016 performance and make plans for the coming fiscal year.
According to Ethio Telecom’s CEO, Andualem Admassie, this year’s performance surpasses the previous by 30 percent.
Currently Ethio Telecom has 46 million mobile customers and 13.6 million internet and data customers. The company also has 1.1 million fixed line customers.
