Sheger express busses are expected to commence service on Friday, May 27, 2016 for residents of Ethiopia’s capital.
The services are going to be launched by Addis Ababa City Administration Transport Programs Coordination Office. The Office is given the task to come up with efficient, accessible and energy friendly buses.
Ethiopian Metal & Engineering Corporation (METEC) has already assembler close to 150 sheger buses. The buses are said to be equipped with modern features such as automated ticketing, ease of access for elders and physically challenged people.
