Sweden in collaboration with the Ethiopian government on Friday launched a new $25 million development cooperation covering the intervening period between 2016 and 2020, the Foreign Affairs Ministry in Addis Ababa has confirmed in a statement.
The new development cooperation came following the visiting Ethiopian Foreign Affairs minister, Dr. Tedros holding bilateral talks with Ms. Isabella Lovin, Sweden’s Minister for International Development Cooperation in Stockholm.
During the talks, Dr. Tedros appreciated Sweden’s renewed commitment to Africa at large and Ethiopia in particular.
Earlier, Dr. Tedros also held talks with Sweden’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Margot Wallstrom.
The pair later signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at establishing bilateral political consultations and reinvigorate bilateral relation between the two countries.
