Ethiopia’s Foreign Minister Dr. Tedros Adhanom told India-Africa Summit participants that his country has aimed to double up its road expansion to 200 thousand by the end of GTP II period in 2020.
Delivering a speech on “Collaborating to Address Africa’s Infrastructure Needs” at the India-Africa Business Forum in New Delhi, Dr. Tedros said Ethiopia has been linked by highways with all its neighbors.
He also touched upon the railway expansion project Ethiopia has begun which he said is “in tandem with keeping the cost of doing business and bringing about efficiently for the thriving import and export.
In addition, he has also briefed the Forum about Ethiopia’s infrastructure endeavors on air transport and energy generation sectors.
Dr. Tedros upon congratulating Indian government for the successful ongoing 3rd India-Africa Forum said Ethiopia values the principles of the Forum because they are very important for mutual growth and development.
