15 ambassadors present credentials

The ambassadors of 15 countries assigned to Ethiopia have presented their credentials to the country’s President Mulatu Teshome, APA learnt Thursday.The newly appointed ambassadors who presented their credential on Wednesday are from New Zealand, Sudan, Palestine, Mali, Denmark, Burkina Faso, Niger, Belgium, Canada, Spain, Egypt, Mauritius, Portugal, Slovenia, and Estonia.
During the occasion, the president urged the newly appointed ambassadors to strive toward strengthening diplomatic, economic, trade and people-to-people ties with Ethiopia.
He also called on them to cooperate with Ethiopia, which is strongly committed to fighting terrorism.
According to him, Ethiopia is determined to further consolidate its diplomatic relations as well as trade, culture, and investment links with other countries.
The ambassadors on their part assured the president that they will do their best to deepen diplomatic and economic relations with Ethiopia during their tour of duty.
