Saudi Arabia Seeks to Expand Ties with Ethiopia

The departing Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Ethiopia Abdulbaqi Ahmed Ajlan expressed the growing interest of Saudi investors to do business in Ethiopia when he took leave of Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome yesterday, on May 21, 2015, Ethiopian News Agency reported.
The Ambassador also said Saudi investors’ wants to expand their involvement in Ethiopia’s market. To this effect, he asked Ethiopia to facilitate conducive conditions for more Saudi companies to invest in the country.
Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia started diplomatic relations when the latter opened its embassy in Addis Ababa in 1948.
