President Mukherjee greets Ethiopia on eve of their National Day

President Pranab Mukherjee said cordial relations between India and Ethiopia are marked by close and growing cooperation between both the countries.

President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia on the eve of their National Day.
"On behalf of the Government and the people of India and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to convey to you and to the people of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, my warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your National Day," President Mukherjee said in his message to Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome.
The President said cordial relations between India and Ethiopia are marked by close and growing cooperation between both the countries.
"India and Ethiopia share cordial relations marked by close and growing cooperation. Our ties are based on the strong foundation of our long standing friendship. I am confident that the relations between our two countries will continue to expand and strengthen in the coming years to the mutual benefit of both our peoples," he said.
"Please accept, Excellency, my best wishes for your personal health and well being and for the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Ethiopia," he added.
Ethiopia celebrates its National Day on May 28 every year.
