NAIROBI, (CAJ News) – ETHIOPIA and Kenya have once more demonstrated their kingship of the international long distance circuit following impressive showings at the Virgin Money London Marathon in England over the weekend.
As Ethiopia took the women’s marathon race to Adis Ababa, Kenya made sure the men’s crown went to Nairobi
In the men’s long distance running on Sunday, Kenya’s Eliud Kipchoge emerged victorious while Ethiopia’s Tigist Tufa clinched the women’s crown amid pomp and fanfare.
The London Marathon, which was contested by more than 37 500 marathon athletes is believed to have raised significant amounts of money for charity.
Both men and women’s races were intriguing.
